Merchant Navy Day was held at their memorial in Dover at 1100 on 2 September. This service remembers and gives thanks to all those in the Merchant Navy who gave their lives during WW2, without whom we could not have sustained four years of war. The event was attended by our Branch Chairman Anita Lignum, who laid a wreath on behalf of the members and John Farlie paraded our Standard amongst 12 others on parade. A post event reception was held in the Dover Marina Hotel.
