This years Remembrance Day Service was held on Sunday

13 November and held as usual at the Memorial Cross

at Deal’s War Memorial Hospital and which is organised on

behalf of Deal Town Council by Deal (Downs) Branch of the

Royal British Legion. The Reverend John Lines MBE led the

Service. Music was provided by the Snowdown Colliery Band,

Mr Julian De-Zille was Parade Marshall, John Farlie paraded

our Branch Standard and the Bugle calls were sounded

by Mick Scurfield. The Branch wreath was laid by Paul Richardson

and Deal Wrens by Cathy Sears. In attendance was our MP

Natalie Elphicke. On completion of the service a march past took

place with the salute taken by Flight Lieutenant Stuart Gemmell

2235 (Deal) RAFAC.
